Job seekers will always need to find smart ways to stand out against other candidates. Getting your CV noticed by recruiters is crucial in your mission to get hired, so an obvious solution is to beef-up your CV with anything that differentiates you from others. Having additional courses and qualifications to support your education and work experience could be what tips the balance in your favour when it comes to shortlisting candidates. 

Courses that weren’t necessary as part of your formal education or work, that you did off your own back, using your free time, demonstrate a range of soft skills (another tick in your favour) such as self-motivation, determination, and a pro-active approach.
